1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Sabiny Network, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Sabiny Network is operated from Uganda. Our community purpose is: Our problems, our discussions, our solutions.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials, phone number, email, and device secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Marketplace, jobs, payment, employer, worker, seller, buyer, channel owner, or subscription features may require users to be at least 18 or legally able to enter into contracts. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the community.
3. App Features
Sabiny Network may include local news, articles, comments, likes, shares, video playback, shorts, creator channels, paid channels, subscriptions, marketplace listings, saved items, messages, job posts, worker profiles, matching, notifications, payments, and external links.
We may add, change, pause, remove, or limit features at any time for operational, security, legal, or business reasons.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, including comments, listings, profiles, articles, images, videos, job posts, messages, and channel materials. By submitting content, you grant Sabiny Network a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt for formatting, moderate, promote, and make that content available as needed to operate and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not violate law, privacy, intellectual property, or the rights of others.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Sabiny Network to:
- Post illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, obscene, exploitative, violent, or harmful content.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, scam, mislead, stalk, or exploit another person.
- Sell prohibited, stolen, unsafe, counterfeit, restricted, or illegal goods or services.
- Post false jobs, fake worker profiles, misleading listings, fake prices, fake payment claims, or spam.
- Upload malware, scrape the service, bypass security, reverse engineer the app, overload systems, or interfere with app operations.
- Share another person's private information without permission.
- Manipulate likes, shares, views, comments, ratings, recommendations, payments, or subscriptions.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
We may review, remove, demote, restrict, or refuse content, listings, jobs, profiles, messages, accounts, or payment access if we believe they violate these Terms, create risk, or harm users or the service.
We may investigate reports, preserve records, suspend accounts, block devices, restrict features, notify affected users, or cooperate with lawful authorities where appropriate.
7. Marketplace, Jobs, and Worker Features
Sabiny Network provides tools for users to discover, post, and communicate about listings, jobs, and worker profiles. Unless we clearly state otherwise, Sabiny Network is not the seller, buyer, employer, employee, worker, agent, guarantor, or broker in transactions between users.
Users are responsible for verifying listings, identities, prices, locations, job details, work terms, qualifications, safety, legality, and payment arrangements. Meet safely, avoid advance-payment scams, and report suspicious activity.
8. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds
Some features may require payment, including subscriptions, paid channel access, listing fees, promotions, or other paid services. Prices, access periods, renewal rules, and included features may vary by plan or provider.
Payments may be processed by third-party providers. Access is granted after successful verification. Failed, pending, reversed, disputed, fraudulent, or suspicious payments may result in delayed, denied, suspended, or revoked access.
Unless required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer, payments already processed are not refundable. If you believe a payment was wrongly handled, contact us with the payment reference, phone number used, date, and feature purchased.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The app may contain ads, YouTube videos, payment pages, seller websites, social links, external articles, or third-party services. We do not control third-party content, availability, security, policies, or transactions. Use third-party services at your own risk.
10. Intellectual Property
Sabiny Network's name, logo, app design, software, databases, layouts, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or misuse our intellectual property without written permission.
If you believe content on Sabiny Network violates your rights, contact us with enough detail to identify the content and your claimed rights.
11. Disclaimers
Sabiny Network is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, complete accuracy, payment-provider availability, marketplace transaction success, job outcomes, worker performance, or that every article, listing, message, profile, or external link is accurate or safe.
News and community content may include opinions, user submissions, third-party material, or developing information. You should verify important information before relying on it.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sabiny Network and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, loss of profit, loss of data, lost opportunity, failed transactions, user disputes, third-party conduct, or service interruption arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to Sabiny Network for the feature giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim, or UGX 100,000, whichever is greater, unless applicable law requires a higher amount.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold Sabiny Network harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your transactions, your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of law or another person's rights.
14. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse payments, abuse users, infringe rights, or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the issue informally. If no resolution is reached, disputes may be submitted to the courts or competent dispute resolution bodies in Uganda.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Sabiny Network after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
